DeafYouth Ministries National Convention
Birmingham, Alabama  November 12-14, 2009

What does it mean to "Live. Love. Loud."?

In this world of so much noise, we are discovering that the most significant things we do in ministry is to enter quietly into the lives of deaf and hard of hearing young people as caring, Christian adults. "So the Word became human and made his home among us. He was full of unfailing love and faithfulness. And we have seen his glory, the glory of the Father’s one and only Son." (John 1:14) We follow the One who entered a sinful world full of Grace and Truth. Our pledge is to go as Jesus did, bringing the message of hope and faith to young people.

This annual gathering of those involved in ministry with deaf and hard of hearing teenagers is sponsored by DeafYouth Ministries and is the "cutting-edge" of Deaf teen ministry. It is an awesome time of celebration of all God is doing across the country and denominational spectrum. For those who love Jesus and love deaf and hard of hearing young people, it is an incredible experience of fellowship, worship, learning, sharing, and networking.

"There is one body and one Spirit, just as also you were called in one hope of your calling; one Lord, one faith, one baptism, one God and Father of all who is over all and through all and in all." Ephesians 4:4-6

DeafYouth Ministries (DYM) is a distinct 501(C)3 ministry established in 2000 specifically for ministry with deaf and hard of hearing teenagers. DYM is the parent organization of DTQuest which is now a ministry of Youth For Christ/USA through an innovative and strategic partnership. DYM provides training, materials and summer programs as a resource for ministry with deaf and hard of hearing teens.
